The Eastern Washington University Eagles are proud members of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) which offers a great opportunity for players to continue their hockey careers at the college level.
The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League was created with the purpose of offering a venue for competitive, high-caliber ice hockey for players beyond their junior and minor hockey careers.
Currently, seven teams – Eastern Washington University, Selkirk College, Simon Fraser University, Thompson Rivers University, Trinity Western University, and the University of Victoria - compete in the BCIHL with further expansion likely to occur in the not to distant future.
Each BCIHL team plays a 24-game league schedule that is comprised of four games (two home and two away) with each competitor. The top five teams from the league's regular season then face-off in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League Championships, a round-robin format tournament held each year in March.
